How to Download videos from youtude & other videos site

    There are various methods to download a video from  popular video streaming site
Here let us see some easy methods.

Method 1 -

  By default buffered video are temporarily stored in your computer in flash file format in that case you view & save  that video by just locating it in your  pc
         
               where the  buffered video will be stored in windows 7

For windows XP :
C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Or
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
For Firefox :
Type about:cache in address bar and hit enter. The last entry on page will give you offline cache device directory.

          where the  buffered video will be stored in ubuntu 

 

 For Ubuntu:
             In ubuntu , firefox Store the buffered video as flash file in the following location .
 
             /home/username/.mozilla/firefox/b7de1tuy.default/Cache/

 Note:  Replace username with yours 

       

           To find the flash file in cache use the following command  

 

      find .mozilla/firefox/* .default/Cache -type f -exec file {} \;  | grep Flash
 

Method 2 -

       Various plugins are available in firefox to download youtude video .This plugins make it easy to download the video .Mp4,3gp format downloads are available  in this plugin 

             To install youtude video Downloader plugin in Firefox 

   1.  OPen Firefox

  2.  Tools -> Add-ons   

  

  3. Search for youtude video Downloader , it will list the available plugin to install (Flash Video downloader is pretty good ).

 4. Restart Firefox .Now you will find Download button below the video.
